Countdown Begins: 2nd Annual Katy Pride Celebration and Katy Pride Kick-off Party in October
[Katy, TX — [September 4, 2024] — Fall is just around the corner, and Katy Pride LGBTQ Inc. is thrilled to announce a series of vibrant events for their 2nd annual Katy Pride Celebration in honor of diversity, inclusion and community spirit! All ages are invited to the free event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and their allies alongside the title sponsor and host site, First Christian Church Katy on Saturday Oct. 19.
Katy Pride Kick-Off Party

Join us for a captivating evening as we kick off the weekend's festivities with our 2nd annual Katy Pride Kick-Off Party in collaboration with the Greater Houston LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce. Dance the night away with a live DJ, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and connect with the vibrant Katy LGBTQ+ community. Ages 18 and up are welcome, tickets are limited and include select food and beverages, so be sure to secure your spot early. Purchase tickets at katypride.org.
2nd Annual Katy Pride Celebration: Life is More Fun When You Stand Out!

Our main event, the 2nd Annual Katy Pride Celebration, is a family-friendly festival celebrating the theme "Life is More Fun When You Stand Out!" We are proud to have First Christian Church Katy as our Title Sponsor as well as Mix 96.5 and ABC 13 Houston as our official media partners. The event features a packed lineup, including DJ Crazy V on the main stage, with guest host and emcee Jay Michaels from Mix 96.5. Enjoy performances by Drag Queen Hannah Santanna, Drag King Barry mii Daandy, and a Fashion Show by the Transparent Closet. Explore over 80 LGBTQ+ friendly vendors offering a variety of retail products and services, including a host of nonprofits that will be in attendance.
Children can enjoy a dedicated Kids Zone with free activities and inflatables, while the whole family can enjoy a variety of delicious options from several food trucks. Adults can treat themselves at the on-site bar, sponsored by Park Place at the Boardwalk. Visit the LGBTQ Education Display where we will showcase the historic section 102 of the Gilbert Baker flag along with The Banner Project; an exhibition of Houston LGBT History. Lastly, don’t miss out on some seasonal fun at The Pumpkin Patch at FCC Katy which will be on-site and open.
